Gardening Classes

Flower Container Class

Container gardening has become one of the most popular trends in North America. Planting in containers is ideal as they can bring color to areas that were once dull, can be moved to changeup the scenery, and are an easy do it yourself activity. Through this class with Susan, you will not only learn how to successfully arrange flowers together in a container, you will also learn the planning basics which are often forgotten.

About the Class

Since there is a fair bit of information that is essential to know and understand before the actual planting, we have split the class into two nights. You can choose to do both, or to do one or the other

The Information Class will provide you with important set up information; how to choose the correct container, choosing the placement of the finished product, the type of soil and fertilizer to use, how to think about the flower needs and placement before you purchase them for planting. The second night will be the Planting Class. We will ask you to bring in a container of your own (we also have some available for purchase). We will provide the soil and the flowers. Best of all, you will get to choose your flowers right from our greenhouse, plant them here, and leave the mess behind!
